Jylana Sheats, PhD
Jylana is an applied behavior scientist with training in psychology, public health and health behavior. She collaborates with Limetree staff and clients to provide insights on customer behaviors, motivations and trends. Leveraging her education and training, Jylana works across sectors. Her primary efforts focus on designing, deploying and evaluating digital and non-digital behavior change solutions, with the goal of reducing health disparities.
Jylana earned a bachelor’s degree from Spelman College, a master of public health degree from Tulane University, and a doctorate degree from Indiana University. She also received postdoctoral training in behavioral medicine from Stanford School of Medicine.
Jylana successfully balances her work at Limetree with concurrent faculty appointments at the University of California Berkeley, Tulane University and Rutgers University. Her commitment to excellence has been recognized through peer-reviewed publications including the Journal of the American Medical Association and Preventive Medicine. She has been honored with an Inspire leadership award from Johnson & Johnson, and with a fellowship from the National Institutes of Health for building innovative research careers in women’s health.
